AUSTIN JAMES

Austin James is a Native of Hartsville, SC and a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. As a formally trained educator with over 18 years experience and training, Austin is passionate about transforming communities through the provision of access to equitable resources and opportunities. A husband, a father, and a brother to many, Austin understands first hand the value of being an ally to those in need. As an ally, he has stood the gap as a supporter, liaison, and confidant for mothers experiencing adversity in their journey to parenthood. As his personal values are well aligned with the mission and service that Zeal of Xander provides to the community, Austin enthusiastically serves as a member of the advisory board.

TEMIKA DIXON JONES

Temika is the CEO of Insightful Solutions of NE FL, LLC. She brings over 15 years of experience in management consulting and social work. Temika is passionate about community engagement, management consultant, strategic influence, and assisting business development through innovation and building community. As a Social Worker, Temika brings an incredible wealth of experience in humanitarian service. In her career years, she has been privileged to hold sensitive positions in corporate sectors that have afforded her the opportunity to to assist healthcare providers and other organizations with business strategies. She brings experience from both the public and private sector in the development of strategy and operational issues in the state and local government, health and human service arena, and other businesses across the United States.

DR. YVETTE LOWERY

Dr. Yvette Lowery is originally from San Diego, California! She has been a resident of Jacksonville, Florida since 2008! She obtained her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from South University in 2017. Yvette is the owner and operator of Specialty Certifications by Yvette. A nursing education company that specializes in certification preparation for nurses who work in specialties. She has experience in curriculum development and program development. She has eight years of teaching nursing at all levels. She also serves as a preceptor to students who wish to become nurse practitioners. Yvette had 10 years of experience as a registered nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner. She has worked in emergency medicine as a nurse practitioner for the last six years part time. Yvette has had previous experience in a family medicine clinic and women’s' health clinic as a nurse practitioner in Jacksonville, Florida. Currently, she works in academia full time and adjunct Assistant Professor for multiple universities.

HAZEL BELL HILL

Hazel Bell Hill, is a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama. She is the maternal grandmother of Xander Monroe Dorcilien. As she has experienced loss of her own she has witnessed for herself the stagnation in the progress of healthcare for black women and infants. It is Hazel's desire to not only be a support in this space but to also provide her wisdom for younger generations.
